Sherri Lewis came to work for Hart Trailer on February 22nd of 1993, 32 years ago!
She had only agreed to stay long enough to help upgrade the accounting to the computer world, but since Hart was planning to change from the steel trailers to aluminum, she stayed to get all the legal filings, state licenses, and systems needed to prepare the company to enter this new world.

Sherri started at the ground floor, developing many new requirements needed to do the job. A job which became a critical component to the operations and developments of the company.

Sherri says her favorite part of the job is that she does not do the same thing every day and she loves the fact that Anthony and Kay Hart believed that “you always do what’s right, even though it may be harder and more expensive.” And “if you take care of your employees, they will take care of the company.”

“As Anthony said, ‘We don’t want to build the most; we want to build the best.’ They appreciated their employees and always made sure that they were treated very fairly and remained a true team member.”

When asked her job title, Sherri said, “I do not like titles and have always said my title is ‘Employee’ and when something needs done, you take care of it. I am currently training the next generation to step into my position and with the team that we have, I feel confident that Hart Trailers will continue to excel into the future.”

Hart Trailer is proud to partner with the National Reining Horse Association, an American nonprofit organization that exists to promote the reining horse.

The NRHA, founded in 1966, is host to many events - worldwide - providing a fun-filled, family atmosphere, setting the standard for the sport of reining. Reining is a judged event designed to show the athletic ability of a ranch-type horse within the confines of a show arena. In NRHA Competition, contestants are required to run a pre-selected, approved pattern, included in the NRHA Handbook. Patterns consist of small slow circles, large fast circles, flying lead changes, rollbacks, 360-degree spins, and sliding stops. [from nrha.com]

You can catch Hart Trailer in our booth with Triple M Trailers of Texas at the NRHA Futurity November 24th through December 6th in the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds Bennett Center. As one of the most elite reining events in the world, more than 20 countries are represented, and more than 700 three-year-old horses compete for the title of NRHA Futurity Champion.
